Remove from oven (handle will be hot) and serve immediately.

Quick & Easy Big Soft Pretzels
2 cups of all purpose flour
2 teas. Sugar
2 teas. Baking powder
Pinch of salt
3 Tbs. butter, softened
1/2 - 3/4 cup of whole milk

Melted butter
Course ground sea salt

5 cups of water
1/3 cup baking soda

Bring water and baking soda to a boil in a non-aluminum pan.  Meanwhile, sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together in a bowl; mix in butter with a forks or a pastry cutter until it looks crumbly.  Add 1/2 cup of milk and mix until combined and dough is wet but not sticky, adding more milk if needed.  Pinch off a golf ball size piece and roll between hands until about the width of your thumb; lay on sheet or counter until all are rolled.  Drop dough sticks into boiling soda water for 30 seconds, then scoop out and put on a lightly greased cookie sheet, don't worry if water splatters on sheet, its good for the rise.  Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes until dark golden brown; remove from oven and dip or brush with melted butter and sprinkle with course sea salt.

Cardinal Cocktail
In a tall glass with ice, add 1 oz locally distilled vodka, 2 oz. of fresh squeezed Arizona grapefruit juice, 1 oz of Prickly Pear Syrup and top off with soda water; stir and enjoy!
