The mission of Stepping Up for Seniors is to provide sustainable assistance and support to seniors in need, in a compassionate and safe environment with
an encouraging voice, to help them overcome the challenges caused by poverty, isolation and medical condition, thereby helping them feel optimistic and positively impacting their lives.
The vision is to create a more effective model for supporting and sustaining our seniors, in turn changing our community and perception of elders.
What Kind of Care Do We Provide?
The SUFS board of directors reviews each request for assistance on a case-by-case basis. Based on the specific needs of the senior, assistance may be provided in the form of:
* In-home care
* Medical equipment
* Medical supplies
* Medical services
* Basic needs (utilities, rent, property taxes)
* Referrals to service agencies for advice or counsel
* Transportation
* And more
