Central Arizona College is stepping up to meet the healthcare industry's workforce needs through the Allied Health Program (Health Careers). With CAC's national accreditation, students can gain admission to other reputable institutions of higher learning to continue their health education or achieve credentials for professional practice. Most majors are for entry-level positions in the health field with full benefits and the potential for further advancement.

Programs can have students interacting with patients or working behind the scenes and include: Community Public Health, Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Nursing, Pharmacy Technician, Clinical Laboratory Assistant, Health Information Management, Massage Therapy, and Radiology Technician. The certificate program is excellent for entry-level preparation or for increased skills for those already in the field. The Associate of Applied Science Degree prepares students to enter the workforce or transfer to a university without loss of credit.

In addition to an excellent learning experience in state-of-the-art facilities, students also have the opportunity for community involvement with the bi-annual Health Fairs and Health Careers camps. These popular events give hands-on experience when it comes to working with the public and disseminating useful medical information.

Programs vary among the five CAC campuses-prospective students are encouraged to visit centralaz.edu/healthand explore the various options.
