Herberger Theater Festival of the Arts: This popular event celebrates the arts in our community with performances, dance, visual art, live music, children's activities, food, pet adoptions, craft beer and wine tasting and more! Proceeds benefit the Herberger Theater's Youth Outreach Programs. 11:30am-5pm. Herberger Theatre, 222 E. Monroe St., Phoenix.

Veterinary Medicine Open House: Everyone from pet owners to ranchers to aspiring veterinarians is welcome to attend with their families to see the future of animal healthcare in Arizona. Expert faculty and veterinary students will be on hand to answer questions and showcase the College's veterinary clinics and facilities. Over 20 informative booths and interactive exhibits will be available for the public. 9am-2pm. Midwestern University, 19555 N. 59th Ave., Glendale.

Bugs, Big Bugs: Beautifully detailed, the bugs are made from a combination of steel, fiberglass and skin material made from a special urethane compound that protects them against sun, rain and snow, making them perfect to display in their natural environment. Like our dinosaurs, the realistic movements on our bugs are powered by a pneumatic system that enables smoother and finer movements. Exhibit runs October 27, 2018-April 28, 2019. $4 Member & $5 General.    Phoenix Zoo, 455 N. Galvin Pkwy., Phoenix.
