Have a question about Family Law? — Tune in to ABC15 on Wednesday, February 18th, for our Family Law Phone Bank with the State Bar of Arizona. The phone lines will be open from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Consumer Investigator Christel Bell talked with Family Law Attorney Adam Weingart about some common Family Law topics.
2. Warning: Faulty Chinese airbag inflators are killing U.S. drivers — Federal officials are warning that illegal Chinese airbag inflators are killing American drivers in crashes that should have been survivable, with at least one death reported in Arizona. The dangerous parts are being illegally imported and installed in previously crashed vehicles with salvaged titles, particularly affecting Hyundai Sonatas and Chevy Malibus, though officials believe other models may also be at risk.
3. New AZ law helps Bitcoin ATM scam victim get some of her money back! — A 68-year-old Mesa woman who lost thousands of dollars to a Bitcoin ATM scam is now recovering some of her money thanks to Arizona's new Cryptocurrency Kiosk License Fraud Prevention Law that took effect in September. The law allows some scam victims to request refunds from Bitcoin companies within 30 days of their transactions. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes tells ABC15 this legislation is just a start to tackling this rising issue.
4. Problem Solved! Let ABC15 Know helps local business stuck in ‘Google jail’ — A Surprise garage door company owner says they were locked out of Google's platform for 40 days after his business account was mysteriously suspended, causing his company to disappear from Google Maps and lose all 2,000 five-star reviews. After ABC15's Let ABC15 Know team contacted Google for an explanation, the business was reinstated within 24 hours, admitting the listing was "incorrectly removed."
