If you're looking to see some of the classics on the big screen, there are plenty of options around the Valley!

CITYSCAPE (DOWNTOWN PHOENIX)

CityScape will screen two classics for its free monthly movie series. They will show Home Alone and Elf  on an inflatable screen in Patriot's Park at CityScape near First and Washington streets. The first movie starts at 6 p.m. You can bring chairs, blankets and snacks. More information.

CIVIC SPACE PARK (DOWNTOWN PHOENIX)

Downtown Phoenix, Inc. will host a free double feature at Phoenix's Civic Space Park. Frozen starts at 6 p.m. and Edward Scissorhands will immediately follow. There will be drinks and snacks available for purchase, but you can bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. More information.

THE SCOTTSDALE QUARTER

The Scottsdale Quarter will screen four Christmas movies on Friday nights in December. The movies will start at 6:30 p.m. in The Quad next to the Christmas tree. There is no cost and you can bring chairs, blankets and snacks. More information.

  • Friday, Dec. 15 - The Polar Express

ODYSEA IN THE DESERT (SCOTTSDALE)

Odysea in the Desert will show Disney's Frozen during its December free movie event. The movie will start at 6:30 p.m. in the courtyard. Queen Elsa will there at 5:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet and photos, plus kids can learn how to draw Olaf! There is some seating available, but those will likely fill early, organizers said. It is recommended to bring your own chairs and blankets. More information.

DESERT RIDGE MARKETPLACE

Desert Ridge Marketplace will screen two free movies in December at the Barnes & Noble Courtyard. A themed activity will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 6 p.m. More information.
