Phoenix Open Pro-Am 2019: Bruce Arians, Archie Bradley, Patrick Peterson, playing in Annexus Pro-Am

PHOENIX — Former Arizona Cardinals head coach (and new head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Bruce Arians, country singer Jake Owen, and Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, are among the early list of high-profile people set to play in the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open Annexus Pro-Am.

They will be joined on the TPC Scottsdale's Stadium Course by Arizona Cardinal Patrick Peterson; Arizona Diamondback Archie Bradley; Houston Astros player Justin Verlander; MLB Hall of Famer Greg Maddux, and NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith.

“Obviously this is one of our biggest events of the week and we love to see the great PGA TOUR professionals play with celebrities and athletes from the world of sports and entertainment,” said Chance Cozby, the tournament's chairman, in a written statement. “We are excited to have Justin Verlander here for the first time, along with some great friends of ours who have played this event a time or two in the past."

Missing from this year's lineup -- so far, at least -- is Arizona Cardinal Larry Fitzgerald, who has participated at least the last four years.

The Pro-Am will be take place on Wednesday, Jan. 30. Tee-times will be between 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Pairings, specific tee times and the rest of the lineup will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 29, the tournament said in a news release.

Jake Owen, who has participated a few times before, will also perform at the Coors Light Birds Nest on Jan. 31. He will be joined by Lee Brice and Michael Ray. Tickets can be purchased, here.

Admission to the Phoenix Open is free on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 28-29; $45 on Wednesday, Jan. 30, Thursday, Jan. 31 and Sunday, Feb. 3; and $60 on Friday, Feb. 1, and Saturday, Feb. 2. You can visit, wmphoenixopen.com, for more information.
