Move aside, syrup (but don't go too far).

The International House of Pancakes (not burgers) is adding a few more condiments to go along with those pancakes and omelets -- booze.

IHOP recently opened a restaurant in Phoenix with a full-service bar. Aside from locations at airports, it is the first IHOP restaurant in the country -- let alone Arizona -- to have a bar.

For now, it looks like it will be the only one. There are no plans to expand the bar concept, according to a news release.

Romulus Restaurant Group, who operates many IHOPS in Arizona, took over the Lone Star Steakhouse at the Camelback Colonnade near Camelback Road and State Route 51 and pitched the idea to IHOP's corporate team

The "Rise and Shine" menu offers craft beer, wine and a few cocktails:

  • Mulemosa: Regatta Ginger beer, sparkling wine, and a splash of orange juice
  • Blue Roof Blood Mary: Tajin rim, celery, olives, and hickory-smoked bacon
  • Frozen Rooty Rita: Blended margarita with strawberry puree

While the restaurant is open 24 hours, the bar is open every day from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
