Update (Dec. 11, 2019): Oregano's expects to open its restaurant near the Loop 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., its fourth location in Scottsdale, in January, according to a restaurant spokesperson. A specific opening date has not yet been announced.

Original story:

Fans of Oregano's Pizza Bistro's pizzas, pastas, and pizza cookies, will soon have another place to indulge.

A couple of weeks ago, the Scottsdale-based restaurant chain announced in a Facebook post its plans to open a restaurant in North Scottsdale. Now we are learning a little more about where it will open, and most importantly, when.

The 6,200-square-foot restaurant is slated to open in the former "Zen Culinary" space at the Sonora Village shopping center near the Loop 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., a spokesperson for the restaurant confirmed to ABC15. Zen Culinary closed in December 2017, after nearly a year in business, and the building has been vacant ever since.

Oregano's will have seating for up to 192 people and a private area for catering. It is expected to open in the fall, the spokesperson said.

The opening will mark the restaurant's third location in Scottsdale, and the 16 location in the greater Phoenix area.
