Grab a fork because more Chicago deep-dish pizza is coming to the Valley.
Buddyz A ChicagoPizzeria has plans to open a third location near Desert Foothills Parkway and Chandler Blvd. in Ahwatukee, co-owner Joe Scarnato told ABC15.
It takes over the space that previously housed Unwined.
Scarnato said via email that the Ahwatukee restaurant will be bigger than the two others in Gilbert and Queen Creek, have a larger bar, and a 15-seat community table. It will offer more than 30 beers, including eight on tap, along with eight wines on tap as the other locations do, he said.
"We are excited to bring this newest Buddyz to this area," he said in the email.
As long as construction stays on track, the restaurant hopes to have a "soft" opening at the end of July or beginning of August.
Scarnato and his brother opened their first two restaurants in the Chicago area in 2005 and 2010. In 2013, Buddyz opened in Queen Creek and opened in Gilbert in 2016.
