PHOENIX — The pastry team at the J.W. Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort added a bit of "Wonderland" to the hotel's lobby for the holidays.
Earlier this month, the team unveiled a 900-square-foot "Alice in Wonderland"-themed display made almost entirely out of gingerbread, frosting, fondant and candy. Watch the video in the player above for a tour of the display.
It took a team of 12 nearly three weeks to design, mold and build the display, which includes replicas of Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the card guards, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat. Chunks of homemade Rice Krispies treats make up the grass, while 500-pounds of candy make up everything else.
It will be on display through the end of the month.
