There will also be a bar in the lobby with 30 local and regional beers, the announcement said.

"We're thrilled to be in the beginning stages of our third Alamo location in the Phoenix area," said Derek Dodd, operating partner for Alamo Phoenix, in a written statement.

The 38,512-square-foot theater will be built off Power Road, between Ray and Williams Field road. It is slated to open by the end of the year.

The Texas-based theater chain opened its first theater in Chandler, Arizona in 2016. Two years later, a second cinema opened at "The Collective" development in Tempe.

What about the West Valley? In a phone interview with ABC15, Dodd said the team does have their future sights set on the western part of the Valley, even parts of central Phoenix. "Our plan has been to expand throughout Arizona, " he said.

It is not known how many locations Alamo plans to have in the Valley total. However, Dodd said the team is "absolutely aware" of those asking for locations in other places. "We definitely have plans to go to the west side," he added.
