USPS released holiday shipping deadlines for the 2019 holiday season

PHOENIX — Before you know it, it will be time to start sending your Christmas gifts to friends and family all around the country.

The busiest time of year for the USPS is the two weeks before Christmas, so they are asking you send gifts and other items as soon as possible to avoid any delays or missing packages.

Here are some of the USPS deadlines for the 2019 holiday season (excluding Alaska & Hawaii):

Dec. 14 - USPS Retail Ground
Dec. 20 - First-Class Mail
Dec. 21 - Priority Mail
Dec. 23 - Priority Mail Express Service

Here are some of the USPS deadlines for Alaska & Hawaii:
Dec. 18 - First-Class Mail for Alaska
Dec. 19 - First-Class Mail for Hawaii

Here are some of the USPS deadlines for International Mail:
Dec. 18 - Central/South America & Mexico
Dec. 19 - Global Express Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Europe, & Middle East

Here are some of the USPS deadlines for sending Military Mail:

Dec. 11 - First-Class Mail & Priority Mail Service
Dec. 18 - Priority Mail Express Military Service
