¡Somos Peoria! is the largest cultural street festival and was awarded “Best Special Event” in a city of over 100,001 population by Arizona Parks and Recreations Association.

The national award-winning artist Shelia E (Love Bazar, Glamorous Life) Tierra (Together Baby) & Sunny Ozuna & Sunliners (Talk to Me) will be performing at this years’ Somos Peoria Festival, along with local band legends throughout the day.

This family-oriented festival will feature Ballet Folklorico, Lucha Libre, Kid Area with Carnival rides, arts and crafts, plenty of delicious food booths/trucks serving your favorite traditional food, beer, margaritas, drinks and a cigar bar will also be available.

Sheila E.’s impeccable inner rhythm is the pulse behind a trailblazing career that still knows no bounds. As a world-class drummer and percussionist whose credits read like chapters in a music history book - Ringo Starr, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Beyoncé, Herbie Hancock, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Gloria Estefan and George Duke - Sheila is a fearless multi-instrumentalist, as well as an actress, mentor and philanthropist. She is also the Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter behind the seminal hits “The Glamorous Life” and “A Love Bizarre.”

Sunny Ozuna, the Tejano music pioneer/songwriter/actor, began his music career entering high school talent shows. With his Grammy Award-winning hits, his vocal talent, his charisma and showmanship, he continues to entertain audiences through his band, Sunny & the Sunliners, with tracks such as “I Only Have Eyes for You” and “Should I Take You Home.”

Tierra, the band named “Best R&B Vocal Group” by four leading magazines including Billboard, was the first Latino band to have four songs on the national chart and two simultaneously in the Top 100. Their blend of rock, pop, jazz, R&B and salsa resulted in a Latin R&B rhythm which produced classics like “Together,” “Gonna Find Her,” “Memories” and “Zoot Suit Boogie.”
