The 5th Annual Hometown Christmas Parade in Glendale kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and you can help a great Valley cause while having fun with the family.

Donation boxes for Operation Santa Claus will be set up along the parade route for visitors to donate non-perishable food items, clothing, or new, unwrapped toys.

Operation Santa Claus is a Valley tradition and partnership between ABC15 and Sanderson Ford and Sanderson Lincoln to collect food, toys, clothes, and monetary donations for Arizona charities.

This year’s charities are: St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix, Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC) and Military Assistance Mission (MAM).

If you cannot donate at the parade, but would like to help, you still can. Donations are accepted through December 20.

Donations points are:

  • Sanderson Ford – 6400 North 51st Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301
  • Sanderson Lincoln on Bell Road – 2121 West Bell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85023
  • ABC15 – 515 North 44th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008

You can always make a monetary donation at givetotheclaus.com.
