PHOENIX - How hot does it have to be for cookies to bake in Arizona?
We put that question to the test on Wednesday with our Arizona cookie bake on the patio at the ABC15 studios!
Chief Meteorologist Amber Sullins says we officially reached the hottest temperature of the year during the day, with a high of 114 degrees at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport .
To see what 114 degrees looks like, we put some cookie dough on a baking sheet, and threw that pan onto our patio in direct sunlight.
After 7 hours of cooking, Amber Sullins decided to give one of the cookies a taste test. How did it go? Check out her impression in the video above.
Stay cool Arizona!
