TEMPE, AZ - At least four collisions have slowed traffic and are blocking at least three lanes of the US 60 freeway in Tempe.
According to the Department of Public Safety, officers are in the process of investigating at least four collisions in the area of westbound US 60 and Hardy Drive.
DPS says the first collision occurred at 7:30 p.m. and involves 2 vehicles. No one was injured.
Two minutes later a three-vehicle injury collision occurred, according to DPS.
Another three-vehicle injury crash occurred in the same area around 7:50 p.m. and then a two-vehicle injury accident occurred about 10 minutes later.
DPS officials said there was no immediate word on how many people were injured, or the extent of injuries.
An ADOT camera showed the crash scene blocking at least three lanes of traffic westbound with traffic moving slowly by the scene. It appeared traffic was backed up to Mill Avenue.
DPS had no word on what caused the collisions.
