PHOENIX - One person was killed in a crash that had traffic backed up on eastbound Interstate 10 near 40th Street for over two hours.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Scott McDonald said there were a total of four patients. He said one man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. That man has died, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Three other people had injuries that were not serious, according to McDonald.
The three-vehicle crash happened around 3:40 p.m. and was blocking two lanes, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
There was no word on what caused the accident.
