Several Denver Broncos players took to Twitter after Sunday's big game, many of them thanking the fans and several players also apologizing.
" Sorry Bronco fans for the performance we had tonight, thanks for all your support...," tweeted cornerback Tony Carter.
" What a nightmare ending. So sorry fans. Thank u so much for all the love throughout this entire season," tweeted tight end Joel Dreessen. " Still so proud of my teammates and the entire organization. The body of work we put into this season is still remarkable."
Defensive end Shaun Phillips said, " Sorry we let you guys down."
" Sorry Denver I will work hard 2 become a better player so I can help my team," said running back C. J. Anderson.
" Thank yall for all the support,reason to work harder this off season.Gave it our all,at the end of the day win lose or draw always#GoBroncos," tweeted running back Knowshon Moreno.
Tight end Virgil Green echoed what many fans thought, " Terrible way to end our season! Thank you to everyone that supported us on our long journey."
Several players talked about next season on Twitter including cornerback Chris Harris who got hurt in the playoffs.
" Sucks I couldn't play in this game, but want to thank all Bronco fans this year, will be back," Harris said. He is recovering from a torn ACL.
" It isn't easy but you better believe.. Ima come back better than ever. Proud to be a Bronco. #grindlife," tweeted linebacker Danny Trevathan.
Interestingly, only one player mentioned the Seahawks on Twitter.
" Truly an honor. Hats off to the Seahawks they played great. Time to work even harder!!" wrote defensive end Jeremy Mincey.
And cornerback Kayvon Webster had the simplest tweet, " Still proud to be a bronco!"
