Detroit Lions star wide receiver Calvin Johnson will reportedly do what Lions Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders did: step away from the game at just 30 years old.
On Sunday, ESPN reported Johnson will retire from the NFL. The man nicknamed "Megatron" led the league in receiving yards in 2011 and '12, and he was the fastest player in NFL history to reach 10,000 receiving yards.
The Lions selected Johnson with the second overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. He boasts a number of Lions franchise records, including career receiving yards (11,619) and touchdowns (83).
