The Philadelphia 76ers signed Kevin Grow, a Pennsylvania high school senior with Down syndrome to a two-day contract Monday.
Grow, a manager for Bensalem High School’s basketball team, received his opportunity to play in the final two games of the season and put up an unforgettable performance.
Grow scored 14 points, including three 3-pointers and a buzzer beater in his only two varsity games with the team.
He has become an inspiration to the Sixers organization, as his story has swept the nation, 76ers officials said in a press release.
Grow will participate in pre-game activities before Tuesday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and will be honored on the court along with his teammates, 76ers officials said.
