ESPN is reporting that U.S. women's soccer team goalkeeper Hope Solo married former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens on Tuesday.
According to ESPN, King5.com reported Solo and Stevens were married in a small ceremony near Snohomish, Washington with only close family and friends in attendance.
The wedding plans were up in the air after Stevens was arrested early Monday for domestic violence assault but was not charged.
Stevens, 33, and Solo, 31, applied for a marriage license earlier this month, according to county court records.
According to a police report, Solo and Stevens had been arguing about whether they would live in Washington or Florida after the wedding.
Kirkland police responded to a disturbance at the home around 3:45 a.m. Monday involving a physical fight among several people during a party.
Court records show Solo received a cut to her elbow.
Solo's brother, Marcus, called 911 and he and Solo blamed the disturbance on two or three unknown men who were at the party, court records showed.
A couple of other people were injured in the disturbance, police said.
Stevens has been arrested in the past. He was arrested in 2003 in a Seattle suburb on reckless driving charges and in 2007 he was charged with driving under the influence in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Stevens most recent arrest came in 2010 while he was playing for Tampa Bay. He was reportedly arrested the night before a game for possession of marijuana, then released almost immediately by the team.
