What's new at Phoenix Chase Field in 2014

PHOENIX - The Major League Baseball season is just around the corner and fans will soon be able to enjoy new additions to Chase Field intended to enhance fan experience at the ballpark.

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced new concession options, unique food items and renovations to the Coors Light Strike Zone in a press release Tuesday.

The D-Backs will debut the $25 D-Bat Dog , an 18-inch corn dog stuffed with cheddar cheese, jalapeno and bacon, served with chipotle ketchup, spicy mustard and fries and the $10 Venom Dog, a foot-long habanero sausage topped with black beans, guacamole, Pico de Gallo and sour cream this season.

Fans will also be able to enjoy a new vegan option this year with the Bisbee Tamale.

The vegan tamale will be stuffed with soy chorizo, potatoes and pinto beans topped with salsa roja and guacamole, according to the release.

The Bisbee Tamale will be available at A-Zona stands for $8.

New concessions stands at the ballpark have been added as two Wetzel’s Pretzels and the new Altos Margarita Island will be available for patrons.

The Coors Light Strike Zone, an upscale club area located in right field on the main concourse level at Chase Field, has added more seating and new furniture, according to the release.

Fans will have their first opportunity to enjoy the new additions to Chase Field this Friday when The D-Backs host the Chicago Cubs at 6:40 p.m.

The D-Back’s regular season home opener is on Monday, March 31 at 6:40 p.m. against the San Francisco Giants.
