Last season, the Arizona and Grand Canyon men's basketball teams faced each other in a hard-fought battle in McKale Center.
This season, they'll see each other on the same court again, but against separate opponents in a doubleheader in Phoenix.
The Wildcats will face Texas A&M and the Antelopes will face St. John's in the Valley of the Sun Shootout at Talking Stick Resort Arena, home of the Phoenix Suns, on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Tickets for both games will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Click here to purchase tickets.
The Arizona-Texas A&M game will begin at 7 p.m., and the GCU-St. John's game will tip off at 9:30 p.m. Arizona coach Sean Miller and GCU coach Dan Majerle held a joint press conference on Wednesday to promote the doubleheader.
Arizona is coming off a 33-5 season that included a Pac-12 regular-season and tournament championship, while Grand Canyon is about to enter its first season of NCAA Tournament eligibility.
