Coyotes captain and leading scorer Shane Doan is out with an unspecified illness.
The last time we saw Doan on the ice was Dec. 4 against the Flames. Thursday's game against the New York Islanders marks the third game he's missed.
"He's still under the weather and he's still not going to be available for the foreseeable future," head coach Dave Tippett told NHL.com. "He's still getting some tests done, so hopefully it's not long, long-term."
So far this season Doan has 12 goals, 11 assists and 23 points.
