Phoenix Coyotes raise $165K for families of Granite Mountain Hotshots

GLENDALE, AZ - Phoenix Coyotes President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said Wednesday night's benefit game raised $165,198 for the families of the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

"We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support we received from Coyotes fans last night," said LeBlanc. "The game was all about giving back to the community and helping those in need. We have some of the most loyal and dedicated fans in the entire National Hockey League and we can't thank them enough for their incredible support."

Ticket sales from the game, combined with a raffle and an auction of player-signed jerseys, generated over $67,599, which IceArizona, LLC matched.

The Coyotes players donated $25,000 and the Coyotes Alumni Association contributed $5,000.

All of the money raised will be distributed to the families of the hotshot firefighters that lost their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30.
