The number one ranked quarterback prospect in the 2014 college recruiting class, has committed to play his college football at Texas A&M.
Kyle Allen, the Scottsdale Desert Mountain quarterback who's considered the top rated pro-style passer in the nation, announced his decision on Twitter.
@KyleAllen_10: "I will be playing my college football for Coach Sumlin at TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY!! GIG EM!!"
Moments after the announcement came down, Aggies Coach Kevin Sumlin replied on Twitter.
The four star prospect had narrowed his choices to Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and UCLA just last week, with Alabama, Arizona State, Ole Miss and Tennessee among the long list of other schools who had offered Kyle a scholarship.
As a Junior, the 6'3", 185 pound Allen threw for 3,119 yards last fall with 36 touchdowns and just 7 interceptions.
Allen is considered the top player in Arizona heading into the Fall of 2013, even ranked higher than teammate, Mark Andrews, a wide receiver/tight end prospect who's also considered one of the best in the country!
Allen's last trip to College Station was back in April for the Aggies Spring Football game.
Kyle Allen is now the 12th commitment for Texas A&M for the class of 2014. It's a recruiting class that now ranks among the best in the nation.
