PHOENIX - Beer and football. Could it get any better?
Perhaps ahead of this football season, you're looking to spice up your refreshment cooler.
Did you know? Arizona beer drinkers throw back slightly over 29 gallons -- yes, gallons -- of beer every year.
Brien McElhatten from ABC's The List and Beer Expert James Swann (Now, that's a fun job title) says hold off on the Bud Light and infuse your game day experience with three locally-brewed beers.
Let's kick start our beer tour in the heart of the Sun Devil's home turf ... Tempe.
Sun Bru - Four Peaks
This light, crisp beer is perfect for any first timers when it comes to craft brews.
Sunset Amber Ale - Grand Canyon Brewing
Brewed near Williams, Ariz., this ale is smooth, easy drinking and "low on the bitterness", says Swann.
Devil's Ale - San Tan Brewing in Chandler
Swann says to not let the name fool you, but Devil's Ale combines a high citrus flavor with some sweetness at the end. "It just makes you feel good," he says.
Make sure to try some other Arizona brews to take kick your tailgate experience up a notch.
Make sure to watch "The List" weekdays at 4:30 p.m. only on ABC15.
