Jeff Hornacek to be next Suns head coach, sources say

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Suns are in the final stages of an agreement to bring in former Suns player Jeff Hornacek as the team's head coach, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Hornacek, who was recently assistant coach with the Utah Jazz, will reportedly sign a three-year deal Monday to join the Suns. Sources told Yahoo! Sports there is a team option for a fourth year.

The 50-year-old Hornacek played in the NBA for 14 years and had reportedly interviewed for the job as head coach with the Charlotte Bobcats this week.

Yahoo! Sport reports that the Suns and Hornacek have also started to put together an assistant coaching staff.
