Cardinals blow 17-point lead but hang on for overtime win

PHOENIX - The Arizona Cardinals pulled off another strange win Sunday in Nashville, beating the Tennessee Titans by three in overtime after letting a 17-point lead slip away with less than four minutes to play in the fourth quarter.

Jay Feely kicked a 41-yard field goal in the OT and the Cardinals ended up beating the Titans 37-34, giving them their first inter-conference sweep since 2002.

Trailing by 17 with 3:12 to play with no timeouts left, the Titans scored 17 points to force overtime. After scoring with less than a minute to play, the Titans recovered an onside kick and then scored with 8 seconds remaining to tie the game at 34.

The Titans then won the toss and drove down the field until Antoine Cason intercepted his second pass of the day to give the Cardinals possession and a chance to win the game.

The win gave Arizona its ninth win of the season, but with both San Francisco and Carolina winning, it leaves them a game behind in the chase for a wild card spot in the NFC playoffs.

Tennessee (5-9) lost its third straight game and their fifth consecutive home game for the first time since moving to Tennessee in 1997.

Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald suffered a concussion when he went up and caught Rob Bironas' onside kick.

Fitzgerald lost the ball when he got hit by Titans running back Jackie Battle and Daimion Stafford recovered it, giving the Titans the chance to score again.
