Are you kidding me? This is a joke! According to sources inside the League office, the NFL received more than 70,000 phone calls Monday night after the ridiculous call in the end zone that gave the Seahawks a win over the Packers.
What shocks me the most is the fact that the league is actually supporting the replacement refs instead of doing the right thing and reversing the outcome of Monday night's game in Seattle. Instead of giving the Packers the win they deserved, the League is supporting the guys who obviously blew the call!
I loved what Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Tuesday on his weekly radio show, and I quote, "I've got to do something that the NFL is not going to do: I have to apologize to the fans. Our sport is a multi-billion dollar machine, generated by people who pay good money to come watch us play. The product on the field is not being complemented by an appropriate set of officials. The games are getting out of control."
It's clear to just about everyone watching that MD Jennings intercepted the ball, but the League refuses to acknowledge the obvious. Too bad we can't all boycott the games until the regular refs get back on the field, but we all know that's not going to happen. Unfortunately, the NFL and its owners do too!
That's Fouhy on Sports!
