PHOENIX - While the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos battle over the big game this weekend, Arizona's Super Bowl Host Committee is on the East Coast on a "scouting trip" to make sure next year's fan experience is perfect.
Jay Parry, CEO of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, has been attending many of the Super Bowl events in New York and New Jersey, including the Super Bowl Boulevard, to gather ideas of what Arizona's fan fest should be like.
Parry said hosting the Super Bowl is all about showcasing Arizona, the Valley of the Sun.
For the past week, the host committee has been meeting with NFL Leaders, the New York/New Jersey host committee, as well as other key stakeholders to go over logistics, planning, and event ideas when it comes to hosting the biggest sporting event of the year.
"We are on the clock," said Parry. Arizona will host Super Bowl XLIX at the University of Phoenix Stadium next year.
Parry said the committee is thinking about ways to host a Super Bowl Boulevard right here in Arizona. The free fan fest in New York takes up 13 blocks down Broadway and allows fans to get autographs from football players, show off their skills and much more.
