Arizona Diamondback Mark Trumbo put on 15-day disabled list with stress fracture

D-back - The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed outfielder Mark Trumbo on the 15-day disabled list (retro to April 22) with a stress fracture in his left foot.

The team has recalled outfielder Roger Kieschnick from Triple-A Reno. Kieschnick finished Thursday’s game against the 0-4 with 3 strikeouts and an error that scored Emilio Bonifacio.  The Diamondbacks split the series against the Cubs 2-2, winning game four 5-2.

Trumbo is tied for the NL lead with 7 home runs and ranks second with 19 RBI.  His 7 home runs are a career high for March/April and are most by a D-back since Chris Young in 2011.

Kieschnick was batting .281 (18-for-64) with 5 doubles, 3 home runs and 8 RBI in 18 games with Reno this season. He was claimed by Arizona off waivers from the San Francisco Giants on April 4.
