Arizona Cardinals release Adrian Wilson after 12 seasons

PHOENIX, AZ - The Arizona Cardinals announced on Friday that strong safety Adrian Wilson has been released.

Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim said in a press release, "Decisions like this are never easy but it's especially tough with someone like Adrian because he's been such a special player and important part of this organization for the last 12 years."

Wilson has been on the Cardinals for the past 12 seasons.

Wilson leaves the Cardinals with 987 tackles, 25.5 sacks, 27 interceptions, 106 passes deflected, 13 forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries and four touchdowns in 181 regular season games.
