The Arizona Cardinals and Patrick Peterson have agreed to terms on a five-year contract that will keep the cornerback with the Cardinals club until 2020.
According to a press release issued Tuesday night, Peterson became the first member of the 2011 first-round draft to agree to a contract extension.
Peterson was the Cardinals first-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He is a three-time Pro Bowler and earned his first-team All-Pro honors this past season.
The 24-year-old has started all 48 games as cornerback during his career and has recorded 162 tackles, 12 interceptions, one sack and one fumble recovery.
