Arizona Cardinals 2017 preseason opponents released

At least one Arizona Cardinals preseason game will be on national television, and the team will close out against a familiar foe.

On Monday the team announced its schedule for the games to be played in August and early September. The team kicks off its preseason slate against the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame Game, played in Canton, Ohio.

The team returns to the Valley for back-to-back weeks against the Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears. The team closes out its lead-up to the regular season with away games against the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos. Dates for all games after the Hall of Fame contest have not been set, according to a release from the team.

The trip to Atlanta will be the Cardinals' first game in the Falcons' new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and the game against the Broncos will be the 12th time in 14 seasons the two teams have faced off in the preseason finale.

Thursday, August 3rd: vs. Dallas Cowboys (Hall of Fame Game in Canton, OH)

Week 1: vs. Oakland Raiders [Sometime between Aug. 10-14] 

Week 2: vs. Chicago Bears [Sometime between Aug. 17-21]

Week 3: at Atlanta Falcons [Sometime between Aug. 24-27] 

Week 4: at Denver Broncos [Sometime between Aug. 31-Sept. 1] 

Officials said the full regular season schedule would be released later in April, but it would include home games against the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in addition to the regualr division foes Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.
