PHOENIX - At the height of this year's first winter storm, there are over 1,000 customers without power in the Valley area.
Salt River Project says approximately 1,500 customers in all are in the dark, 1,000 in the area of 48th Street and Thomas Road and 500 in Pinal County, southeast of Queen Creek.
SRP hopes to have the customers in Phoenix back on line by noon, an official says.
An official with Arizona Public Service says that at the height of the storm 13,000 customers were without power but that number is now down to 185.
APS says there are four pockets of outages spread throughout the Valley with no estimated time for power to be restored.
