SATURDAY 1/25/14

CENSURING MCCAIN
A resolution passed by five Arizona Republican county committees to censure Senator John McCain will be brought to the floor of the Arizona GOP meeting on Saturday. The resolution cites McCain's voting record as not being properly reflective of the party's platform.

SUPER CITRUS SATURDAY
St. Mary's Food Bank holds its annual Super Citrus Saturday to encourage people with overflowing citrus trees in their yards to drop off their excess produce to help those in need. The collection sites, open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., are North Phoenix Baptist Church, Shepherd of the Hills United Church of Christ, St. Mary's Food Bank Surprise, and McDowell Mountain Plaza.

CUBS STADIUM GRAND OPENING
With Spring Training just a few weeks away, the City of Mesa will celebrate the grand opening of Cubs Park/Riverview Park. The event, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., includes tours of the new stadium and photo opportunities on the playing field.

WILDLIFE WORLD ZOO EXPANSION
Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium in the West Valley will celebrate the grand opening of a new 15-acre Safari Park.

SUNDAY 1/26/14

STAMP PRICE INCREASE
Effective Sunday, First-Class Mail stamps will cost 49 cents, a three cent increase.
