SATURDAY 2/16

USED BOOK SALE
The Volunteer Nonprofit Service Association holds its annual used book sale. The event features thousands of books and quite a few rare and unusual items. The proceeds benefit Valley human service agencies. 8am-6pm Saturday, 8am-4pm Sunday, Exhibit Building, Arizona State Fairgrounds, Phoenix.

TALE OF TWO CITIES PARADE
Avondale and Goodyear will host a parade and festival through both cities. The parade grand marshals will be 150 immigrants who will then take the oath to become citizens. 10am parade, 12pm-3pm festival, Thomas & Dysart, Avondale.

SUNDAY 2/17

OPERATION PRECIOUS CARGO
Phoenix police and fire emergency response will be tested in a drill involving two Valley Metro Rail trains. 9am, METRO Operations and Maintenance Center, Phoenix.

MONDAY 2/18

MLB MEDIA DAY
Major League Baseball holds 2013 Media Day. We will hear from the general managers and team managers of Cactus League Teams as well as Team USA leaders from the upcoming World Baseball Classic. 2:30pm, Chase Field, Phoenix.
