MASS FOR DEAD MIGRANTS
A mass will be held to pray for the souls of 750 unidentified migrants who died crossing the Arizona desert between 2001 and 2013. 8:30 a.m., St. Timothy Parish, Mesa.

FIGUEROA GREEN
A new Mesa park will be dedicated in honor of fallen Phoenix Police Officer Shane Figueroa, killed in the line of duty in 2008. Figueroa was a former Mesa resident. 10 a.m., Signal Butte & Ray Road, Mesa.

SUNDAY 1/12/14

GUARDSMAN HONORED
The Arizona National Guard will honor a soldier who saved a fellow guardsman after a near fatal crash last summer. 10 a.m., Papago Military Reservation, Phoenix.

BARRETT-JACKSON AUTO AUCTION
Approximately 1,400 cars will be auctioned during the week-long Barrett-Jackson collector car auction. Sunday through next Sunday, WestWorld, Scottsdale.
