CIRCLE K PERMIT VOTE
The Phoenix City Council is scheduled to vote on a liquor license for a large Circle K convenience mart on the southeast corner of 7th Street & Roosevelt. City staff has recommended disapproval of the application based on neighborhood protests. 3 p.m., City Council Chambers, Phoenix.

COUNTY ATTORNEY MEDIA BRIEFING
Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery will update the media on current high profile cases. 10 a.m., Maricopa County Administration Building, Phoenix.

FATAL HIT & RUN SENTENCING
Sentencing is scheduled for Aimee Butel, who pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a collision and misdemeanor DUI.  8:30 a.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE
Agencies statewide will participate Wednesday and Thursday in an emergency preparedness exercise. The drill will simulate prolonged loss of electrical power during the summer months. More than 2,300 people will be involved.
