Officials with the Maricopa County Recorder's Office said a memory pack was left behind overnight in a school from Tuesday's primary election.

According to the official, the memory pack, which had votes that were not counted on Tuesday night, was left overnight in a sealed bag. The item was left behind in a locked band room in a locked school, officials said.

The person responsible for the item did not bring it back with them Tuesday night to turn in, but county recorder staff members retrieved it Wednesday morning.

Officials said the bag was still sealed in the morning. The votes on the memory pack were tallied and added into the election system, however those votes are not yet reflected on the election results website.

It's not yet known what school the memory pack was left behind at.
