RNC 2016 PITCHES
Delegations from Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Denver, Dallas, Kansas City, Las Vegas, and Phoenix will make their pitches to the Republican National Committee in Washington to host the party’s 2016 convention.

BABY HOMICIDE SENTENCING
Nina Koistinen, who pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in connection with the suffocation death of her 6-day-old daughter, is scheduled to be sentenced. 8:30 a.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.

HAMMER MURDER TRIAL
After a week off, testimony resumes in the murder trial of Marissa Devault, accused of killing her husband with a hammer. 10:30 a.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.

GREENWAY BRIDGE PROJECT
Greenway Parkway will close between 19th and 7th avenues from Monday through the end of August so crews can replace the existing bridge over the Cave Creek Wash.
