PHOENIX - With an estimated $257 million jackpot, Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing is getting attention.
The current jackpot has been growing since April 26, from $40 million. It has rolled over 13 times without a jackpot winner, according to the Arizona Lottery.
The cash option would be $151.9 million before taxes.
If you’re feeling lucky, remember that the overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are approximately 1 in 31.8.
Even if you don’t win the big jackpot, there are eight other ways to win, including a $1 million second place prize and $10,000 prizes.
The Arizona Lottery generates more than $3.4 million per week for state programs including education, health and public welfare, the environment and business development.
