CARDINALS TRAINING CAMP
The Arizona Cardinals will take the field as a team for their first practice Friday as training camp fully gets underway. This season starts a new era of Cardinals training camp, with the move from Flagstaff to Glendale. Gate 3 on the east side of University of Phoenix Stadium opens at 1:30 p.m. for the 2 p.m.-4:35 p.m. practice. Fans can get player autographs along the lower field walls after the practice session ends.

FALLEN SOLDIER MEMORIAL
The Arizona State University Army ROTC Sun Devil Battalion will hold a memorial ceremony for Jonam Russell of Cornville, killed in action in Afghanistan. 10 a.m., Old Main, Arizona State University, Tempe.

RELEASE TIME LAWSUIT
The Goldwater Institute is challenging the practice by the City of Phoenix that allows officers and firefighters to do union work on city time. Oral arguments will be heard in the case Friday. 2:30 p.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.
