PHOENIX - Bill Macumber was released from prison in 2012, nearly 40 years after his now ex-wife turned him in for murder.
Now he's accused of another crime.
"Angry. I am beyond angry," his ex Carol Kemfert said.
Macumber was found guilty of gunning down two people in a desert area north of the Valley in 1962. He wasn't arrested until 1974.
In 2012, he was released from prison. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office offered to let him change his plea from not guilty to no contest.
At the time, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said," He is not innocent. He is guilty."
Fast forward two years and Macumber is back behind bars. This time, he's accused of sexually assaulting two of his great-grandchildren in Colorado. Police said he committed the crimes just five months after he got out of prison.
"How many victims does he have to claim before they finally put him away so he can't claim anymore," Kemfert said.
Kemfert said she saw it coming.
"How manipulative and sly and, for lack of a better word, evil he is. And nobody would believe me."
