US Summer Food Service Program provides free meals for Arizona children

There are many children in the Valley who often find themselves hungry and without food for a variety of reasons.

The Summer Food Service Program is a way to make sure kids 18 and younger get nutritious meals everyday..

Facilities, including schools, activity centers, churches and apartment complexes, across the Valley participate in the program and offer breakfast meals for children. Some facilities also offer dinner and discounted meals for adults.

The Summer Food Service program is operated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Child Nutrition Program which works to ensure that children receive proper nutrition. The program does have income eligibility requirements and is geared towards low-income families.
