Phoenix grocery deals: Save money this week in the Valley

Here are some of the deals you can expect to find in this week's Valley grocery store ads:


Make some homemade salsa for cheap this week. Sprouts has Roma tomatoes on sale for $.48 per pound and Haas avocados for $.48 each. Sprouts also has all-natural boneless, skinless chicken breasts for just $1.88 per pound. Don't forget Wednesdays are your best days to save the most at Sprouts because their ads overlap, so you get double the savings on that day.


Head to Bashas' and score a deal on Breyer's ice cream. You can buy a 1.5 quart for $1.88. In order to get that price, just cut out the $1 off coupon in this week's ad. At Bashas', you can also buy boneless, skinless chicken breast for $1.77 per pound and get up to four packs at that price. Bashas' has a smashing deal on a pound of strawberries for just $.99 with a limit of four pounds at that price.


Pro's Ranch Market has a great price on chicken legs quarters. If you buy 10 pounds, you will pay just $.59 per pound. Stay healthy this flu season by getting your Vitamin C requirement. You can buy three pounds of oranges for $.99 at Pro's Ranch Market. You can also save on a one pound container of strawberries at Pro's Ranch Market for $.99 each.


If you plan on spending $25 or more at Fry's this week, you can buy a whole turkey for just $.79 per pound. Fry's still has 32 ounce bottles of Powerade on sale for $.59 with no limits. Plus, if you purchase six 2 liter bottles of Pepsi products, you will get each one for $.88 this week. Fry's also has Cheerios cereal on sale for $1.99 each. If you buy two boxes, you get $1 off. Go to and look for the Cheerios coupon.


Save on limes at Food City this week. You can buy four pounds for just $1 with a limit of eight. You can also save on leg quarters at Food City. They will have a three-day sale, which starts on Friday, Oct. 25, and ends on Sunday. You can buy a 10 pound bag of leg quarters for $.69 per pound, with a limit of two bags. Or try a 10 pound bag of Russet potatoes for $1.50 each and get that price on two bags.  


Albertsons has you covered on a gallon of milk for $1.87 and you can purchase two for that price. At Albertsons, you can get a good price on Post or General Mills cereal for $1.58 each, but in order to get that price, you have to purchase four participating items in one transaction. Also, if you spend $25 or more at Albertsons, you will be able to buy four 12 packs of 12 ounce cans of Pepsi or 7UP for $8.88. This deal is only good for one transaction.
