If you need accountability to get your workouts in, then you should check out the free app called Gympact. It guilts you into following through on your goals by charging you.
Here’s how it works: You make a pact of how many days you’ll work out, and how much you’ll pay every time you miss your workout.
The least amount you can stake is $5 per day and each workout must be at least 30 minutes. So, if you say you will workout three times a week, that means if you miss any of those three days starting on Monday through Sunday, you will be charged $5 for each workout you skipped.
There’s no getting out of paying for missed workouts, because in order to sign up, you have to give your credit card information. Those who stick with their pact and follow through on working out will get rewarded.
The best part is, you can make money just for completing your workouts. The money from those who don’t meet their goals are pooled and split among those who do follow through. On average you can get 50 cents to $1.00 for each workout completed.
In order to sign up, you have to enter your credit card information. Also, you can’t just say you worked out. You have to prove it.
If you’re a runner, or you like to workout outdoors it has to be GPS-verified. You can use the free app Runkeeper. It works with Gympact to verify your outdoor workouts. If you go to the gym, you have to check in when you get their using the Gympact app. The app works with both the Apple Store and Android Google Play.
Now if that doesn’t motivate you to workout, I don’t know what will.
