Free golf, museums and more this weekend

Whether you had a short or long week, it's always nice to end with a reward! 

 

The City of Phoenix is proclaiming September 23rd as Girls Golf Day and that means lots of fun, free activities. The event is Saturday, September 23 from 9:30 a.m. until sunset.

 

It's for all girls ages five and older and you can expect free golf clinics, celebrity golf speakers, there's even a golf tournament... But there is a charge and you will need to registerOf course, there will also be food trucks so make it a day!

 

And since we're talking science, let's explore the stars at South Mountain's Star Party.

It's Saturday night from 6:30 to 8 at the South Mountain Environmental Education Center.

They will have a variety of telescopes for you to see to infinity and beyond!

Finally, it's free Smithsonian Museum Day and that means you can get free admission for up to two people to any Smithsonian Affiliate Museum including Desert Botanical Garden, the i.d.e.a museum and the Halle Heart Children’s Museum! There are more than 1500 museums participating.
